Why Midnight Mangata?
Midnight Mangata became my artistic identity in 2017, during a night in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest. I watched as the moonlight created a quiet, beautiful path across the Amazon River. Curious about it, I searched for a word to describe it and found Mångata—a Swedish term that means "the road-like reflection of the moon on water.
That moment has stayed with me ever since, shaping my artistic vision.
This name reflects the essence of my photography: dreamy, nostalgic, and filled with light.
